Everyone knows about all the options available for people wanting to buy a used Volkswagen Hatchback. We have the much loved Polo, the Golf that everyone is still talking about, and even the bigger Golf Plus or the VW Beetle. All of these are great cars, but none of them are aimed at people who have more kids, more "stuff" and much bigger requirements when it comes to buying and owning a car. This often leads to the assumption that Volkswagens aren't really suitable for people who need a big family car, and thus some of VW's brilliant contributions to the SUV and People-carrier market get ignored or unmentioned. Read on for a quick summary of each of VW's big family cars.
First we have the well-known VW Passat, reborn into an estate version. The saloon versions of these cars are well respected within the field, and look really smart and executive. Now just imagine this stretched out to become an estate and you get the picture - the same good looks, just with added space. This isn't great for more than three kids, but it does mean that you can fit lots into the boot and know that you don't have to worry about room. Much more child friendly, as we all know how much junk and sheer quantities of things kids have to take wherever they go - going on holiday is the worst!
If you are a bit of a petrol head, you will probably prefer something like the Volkswagen Scirocco or Tiguan to the Pasat estate. These cars are happy to go off-road, and whilst you still get plenty of space you also feel like you are driving something much sportier and much more fun. Practicality balances out well with good looks and respect from other car drivers in both these models, making them perfect for mums and dads who really don't want to have to put function over form.
If you really need lots of space, why not consider buying a used Volkswagen Touran. This car is spacious, and can seat 7 people without any problems at all. This just makes life so much easier when having to arrange the transport for family events and kids birthday parties. Practicality is the name of the game here, and it does lead to a bit of a sacrifice in looks, as with any SUV out there on the market. Of course, you can minimise the effect by buying a top of the range VW Sharen, which is much more executive looking whilst just as functional. It will cost you more, but this spacious car does give you really sleek good looks at the same time as easily fitting in everything and everyone you could ever want it to!
As you can see, there are plenty of cars that Volkswagen produces that are really good for families. Whatever your needs, however many kids you have, the brand are bound to have something that will suit you - and in a used car dealership there should hopefully be a bargain that you can afford!
