For some reason I have always been fascinated with hovercraft. I think the idea of hovering over almost any surface is really cool. I came up with a plan to build my own hovercraft.

I built my first hovercraft from a basic set of plans I found at the local library. It consisted of a platform made of plywood with a shop vac attached to it for power. You sit on it and when someone pushes you it glides across the floor like an air hockey puck.

Now while this was great fun it was not what I was looking for. I wanted to build something a little more serious.

But what about when you slow down and even come to halt. Then there are the windows. People can easily reach in, grab you, or point a knife at you with out you being able to do a thing. They can unlock the car in a single well-trained swoop.

There’s no denying that sense of pleasure when you’ve just purchased a new car. The aroma of the new car’s smell that shiny interior, and the way the brand new car drives is just a sensational experience. But there is price to pay for all that unbridled joy of purchasing a new car.

If value is not your primary concern, and many luxuries of your home life are critical in your decision making process, you will have several makes and models of motorhomes or travel trailers to choose from.

We recommend a late model pre-owned motorhome or travel trailer as your best long term investment. You will still have many of the luxuries from home, but let someone else take the big depreciation hit during the first one to three years of ownership.

A great alternative to “roughing it” while camping is to rent or purchase one of the many models of camping trailers available on the market. Camping trailers can range from a hard-top tent trailer that requires some set-up and will easily pull behind even a small sized car through to a larger, all-in-one unit that is literally a home away from home on wheels. Each type of camping trailer has pros and cons to ownership, but one of the largest factors with any type of trailer is the cost.

In any sort of recreational sports, especially extreme sports, there are bound to be risks and dangers involved and ATV riding is of no exception too. Hence, knowing the risks and dangers that lurk around, would you ban your kids from ATV riding? Do you really think that banning them from riding on the ATVs is the solution to all the ATV accidents that you hear and read about?

On a personal note, I don’t really think that banning our kids from ATV riding is going to do much – because it will only make them even more curious as to why you would never let them try to ride on one. It would make more sense to allow them to ride on one and at the same time teach them to be responsible riders. Yes, responsibility can be taught and children are able to learn real quickly too. Besides, the popularity of ATVs has grown so much over the years that there isn’t any kid in this country that has not heard of ATVs.
